Biodiesel Pilot Plant

Set up as a demonstration installation for the production of biodiesel from used cooking oil (UCO), this plant can easily be enlarged to small commercial production level by the addition of a number of settling and washing tanks.

All equipment has been newly constructed, with a 1 tonne main mixing tank.  Production level could be expanded to 1 million litres of EN14214 compliant biodiesel per annum by the addition of supplementary settling and washing tanks, ensuring a profitable operation.

Included are the UCO pre-treatment drying equipment, catalyst mixing tank, pumps, 3-phase inverter, wash tanks, pipework, filters, control panel and vacuum dryer - all that is needed to start a small but profitable business.

The installation has been designed by one of the UKs leading exponents of producing a usable and sustainable transport fuel from a waste product - Martin Steele, of Esterco Ltd.  It is currently operating in Cornwall, southern England.

The existing equipment requires a space equal to around three domestic garages, well ventilated and electrically zoned, with additional space required for expansion.

 

The asking price is £20,000, and business planning training and fitting can be supplied at additional cost. I would consider a share option in your business, thereby reducing your capital costs, but a share in profits would be required.
